Dad, Birthday, Swimming

This past weekend was a very busy weekend. We had two birthday's to celebrate and Father's Day. My two nephew's spend the month of July with their mom, so we try and celebrate both birthday's the same weekend. Ryder just turned 5 on June 15th and Colten will turn 7 on July 2nd. So, Kane and I loaded up on Saturday morning and we were off to Dallas to his sister's house. It was a weekend of swimming in the pool, eating burgers and can't forget the cake that their Grammy made them.

Lily even got a cute little pink soccer ball.

Lily wanted to give her Aunt Wendy a flower, so Lily picked her a flower from her garden. Unfortunately, Lily pulled ALL of the flower out of the ground:)

For Father's Day we didn't do much. Lily and I got Kane a movie and card.I made him a special dinner last night. I made him a spaghetti casserole and sopapilla cheesecake!!! Let's just say yum yum:)

Lily and Kane on Sunday!!!

Our weekend ended with a stop at Buc-ee's in Madisonville. Lily wanted to take a picture with every display that was there:)

The last picture was not taken this weekend, but it was taken last week sometime. Its a cute picture of Lily and I just had to share it. She is ready for ALL the summer activities I have planned just for the two of us:)

SuMMeR BreAK

Well, my summer break has been jammed packed since Day 1!! Here is what Lily and I have been up to this past week:

Friday, June 4...First day of summer break. I was up at 630am to have my very first garage sale with Isabel. Let's just say I made a chunk of change. We were actually able to pay off Best Buy and still have some:)

Saturday, June 5...Same thing up at 630am for Day 2 of garage sale!!!

Sunday, June 6...My cousin on my dad's side of the family graduated from High School this year. He is the last of 12 cousins to graduate.

This is some of the "Moore" Family. My cousin Jimmy is the tall kid standing right behind Lily.

Monday, June 7...Kane's first day of college. I had to go get his book for him since he wasn't able to get before his class. So, Lily and I was off to Lonestar College to get his book. It's not a very big campus at all, but I was kind sad that it wasn't me who was going to walk through those doors everyday:( I absolutely love love learning new things. I can't wait till its my turn to go back to get my Masters!!! After getting Kane's book it was off to Walmart to do some shopping.

Tuesday, June 8...Kane survived his first night of college math!! I actually had to go back to the bookstore to exchange his book. He only needed to buy the access code for his math lab, not the book. That's technology these days. He does all his work and test on the computer. He only goes to school to have the math concepts taught to him. After that it was more shopping but this time at Target:) Since, I made a good bit at the garage sale, I was in the market for some new dinnerware. I was planning on going to IKEA with Isabel on Wednesday. Therefore, I want to check at Target before going.

Wednesday, June 9...Off to IKEA with Isabel. I have never been to IKEA before, lets just say I was amazed at all the stuff they have there and for CHEAP!!!! I actually found some nice dinnerware. I got a set of 18 (6bowls, 6 small plates and 6 big plates) for 9.99!!! They were originally 21.99 but on sale for 9.99!!!! So, I got a brown set and a cream set!!!

Thursday, June 10...I had a day long Teacher Conference on Rigor, Relevance and Relationship!! I had a great time and learned lots of new things for next year. I can't wait to share it with my team. Lily spent the day with Isabel. She had a great time. They went swimming, to the park, played, colored and watch movies.

Friday, June 11...Relax and clean my house day!!! Lily and I are just relaxing, watching movies, doing laundry and cleaning up. I try to throughout the week clean alittle here and clean alittle there, so that way I am not spending ALL day cleaning the whole house!!

I hope you enjoyed my crazy, long list of what I my first week of summer looked like. I have one more ALL day staff development on Monday and then I am done till the end of July. The rest of summer will be going to the gym, swimming, shopping, painting my living room and getting Lily's first year scrapbook done.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!!!
