5 Question Friday

1. What is your favorite Easter tradition? Well, I don't really have any Easter tradition yet!!! I will however start an Easter tradition this year. I will be making these Easter Cookies with Lily this year and plan to every year!!! I really want her to understand the meaning behind Easter and not just because the Easter Bunny comes!!!

2. Are you a "shower" or a "long, hot bath" kind of person? I am a shower girl. I rarely take baths. If I do its because I am stressed or so tired that I just need some "me"time!!!

3. Can you parallel park and if so when is the last time you did it? I am very proud to say that I can parallel park. I don't do it often but can if I need to!!! The last time I did it...don't remember because I don't go out of my way to make sure I need to do it.

4. What is your favorite Easter candy? I don't really have a favorite Easter candy. I do like the Recess Eggs...but I wouldn't say my favorite.

5. Easter: do you go all out with the Easter Bunny or focus on the religious part of the holiday? We will focus more on the religious part with Lily and the reason behind Easter. But we will also do the Easter Bunny and Easter Egg hunting!!! Easter has to be one of my favorite holiday's. I love shopping for a cute Easter dress for Lily, getting her things for her Easter basket and just spending time with my family!!! It has been a HARD 6 months with Kane being laid off, but if there is one thing I have learned through this experience is that GOD will not give me more than I can handle at one time!!! I have become so much more closer to him through this journey. And I want to celebrate HIM and everything Jesus did for us this Easter!!!

5 Question Friday

1. Can you drive a stick shift? If I had to I could...I used to drive Kane's Car when we were dating. Not sure if I drove it properly, but I got it from point A to point B:)


2. What are two foods you just can't eat? Goodness this is hard...I like almost anything. But I would have to say oysters and liver. Unless I was starving to death and that was the ONLY thing left I would eat them I guess...but No Thanks!!!


3. Do you buy Girl Scout Cookies? What is your favorite kind? YES...I am a teacher so I always end up buying one too many boxes!!! I LOVE Thin Mints and the Peanut Butter Patties...yummy!!!


4. How do you pamper yourself? Well...this is so sad to say...I don't:( I don't ever take time for myself. I do however allow time to spend a few hours with friends without my husband or daughter...but most of the time any extra time or money we have we spend on Lily. I always feel guilty when I spend money on myself and not on her!!


5. What is your nickname and how did you get it? I don't really have one. My husband will sometimes call me kiddo. Not sure why he does. Lily of course calls me Mom. When I was younger my older brother called me "Miss Piggy" Other than those, I don't really have one anymore!!!

Do you regift...and if so, do you have a regifting horror story?
I am guilty to say that I do. I only regift something that I already have or if it is something I will never use. Being a teacher you get all sorts of odds and ends as gifts. I got a wonderful new purse today from one of my lovely students. Its a great purse, but its just not my style. And since my mother-in-law is very trendy...she will look perfect carrying it:)

Do you know what you are getting for Christmas this year?
Yes....I actually got it...a new Camera!!! I love it. I am also getting a vacation to Colorado and a massage while we are there!!!

Who brings the most gifts in your family, you or Santa?
Santa now brings the gifts. I buy a few things for Lily, but mostly Santa does the shopping:)

What store do you love to by jeans from?
Well considering I am still carrying the last few pounds leftover from having a baby three years ago:( I still will not give in a buy any jeans. I have brand new jeans from American Eagle, A&F, and Gap in my closet that I will get back in. I am only one size away:) But my favorite has to be Express!!! I only have one pair from there and I LOVE them...unfortunately I am still one size from those too!!! That is on the top of my New Year's Resolution:)

Christmas meal: Big, All Out Meal or Snacks and Apps?

Christmas Eve is usually Snacks and Apps, but Christmas for sure is a Big, All out Meal!!!!

I leave tomorrow at 9:00 for our long drive to Breckenridge!!!! I can not wait to see that pretty white snow!!!!

5 Question Friday

I rarely participate in weekly blog post...but I like this one because its all about Christmas. I absolutely LOVE Christmas. I much rather buy for other people then receive anything. Kane and I always say we are not going to buy for each other, but I always sneak in a gift.

So, here you go my 5 question Friday.....

1. Do you open presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?
We open on both days. Since, we live close to both of our families we spend Christmas Eve with one family and Christmas Day with the other. Eventually, we will be spending both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at our house with our children and I do want to start that tradition of opening at least one on Christmas Eve.

2. What is your favorite Christmas cookie (or candy)?
ALL of them...anything anyone makes is my favorite:)

3. What's the worst Christmas gift you've ever received?
Gosh...I don't think I have gotten anything that I did not like. Of course you always get those presents that you never would have bought...but the thought is what counts, so I always appreciate anything I get:)

4. Christmas song that you love?
I have many Christmas songs that I like...

~and many others...but...I just heard one recently that I really like....I have already shared it in its own post...but I wanted to share it again!!!

5. How many trees do you put up?

I only put up one. That's about all I can handle to put up. I love putting out Christmas decorations, but hate decorating the Christmas tree. It's not so much the decorating, its more knowing I am going to have to take it all done.

My LATE 5 Questions Friday!!!

I am a day late...but I was at school ALL day yesterday!!! After school I came home and took a 3hour nap:) O-well its okay!!!

1. Are you a neat sleeper or a messy sleeper?
Yes I am...Now that we finally have Lily out of our bed...I can spread out like I want too!!! After being married for 9 years...Kane is used to my sleeping habits...I haven't hit him yet...but I usually do end up with a leg or an arm or two over him:)

2. Fill in the blank. I wish I was more....decorative. Meaning I am not very good at it when it comes to interior design. It took me about two years to pick my kitchen colors because I could not visually see it. My living room only has a mirror and three crosses on the wall...I still haven't painted in here. Lily's room was ALL Kane's idea!!!

3. What is something that you wish you had been warned about? Hmm...that is a hard one. I can't really think of anything that I wish I was warned about. I am a big believer that everything happens for a reason. You learn from your mistakes, so I think I would not want to be warned about anything because it may be life lesson that I may need:)

4. What was the best thing you ever found at a garage sale/flea market?
My friend and I went to a flea market in Las Vegas...and they had some fake Coach shoes... I think I paid like 10bucks for them!!! They were fake of course but hey they were cute:)

5. If you could have any meal brought to you right now, what would it be? Its not a meal but I would LOVE LOVE some Starbucks right now!!! Kane is actually on his way right now going to get me some:)
