Little late for Christmas post, but o-well...I wanted to share our Christmas with everyone!!

We made homemade ornaments for our family this year. Lily helped me to paint them all.

With everything that happened with Kane the week before and week of Christmas, we did not get to decorate our Gingerbread house till Christmas Eve! Lily had a blast making it:)

It was a great Christmas and I am so glad that Kane got out of the hospital just in time to spend it with us!!

I WON....

A box of ornaments from school. Every year we have a Christmas Auction at school. All the grade levels, para-professionals, A-Team, pretty much everyone donates something to the Christmas Auction. Then everyone bids on it through out the month of December. Whoever has the highest bid wins it. And I won this box of ornaments for $42.00.

Best of all the money raised during the auction goes to needy families here in the Houston area. So, I don't mind at all buying a box of ornaments for $42.00. There are so many in there that I just love!!! There is a set of three glass Lenox bulbs, a teacher flower pot, a few snowman ones, candy cane, a HOPE one and a few others. I just love them all!!!

Christmas Ornaments

I figured I would join in on the fun and share some of my favorite ornaments. I am not the regular plain ball shape ornament type gal. I really like the decorative type ornaments. Many of the ornaments that we have are meaningful some way to us. That's why I don't like just getting any sort of ornament from the store:) So, here are some of favorite ones:

I got this one for one of my student's my first year teaching. I was also pregnant with my first child too. You can't really tell from the picture but it is a pregnant mom with baby items hanging from her arms.

Before we leave for our vacation to Colorado I am going to try and blog about our Christmas decorations. I enjoy reading and seeing every one's decorations:)...that I want to join in on the fun too:)

Christmas Came EARLY

Christmas came early for ALL of us:) Kane and I decide to buy each other one thing this year considering we are going to Colorado for a week:):) Well, he finally got a new phone. He wanted the iPhone4...so that is what he got!!!

I wanted a new camera...so I got that. I also got a very cute camera bag from the best teaching partner in the world...Kacy!!! It's a Canon PowerShot...the guy says it takes really good pictures and videos in HD. I am not in to all that crazy editing stuff...I just want to be able to push the button and it does everything for me:)

Of course Santa...did not leave out Lily. We went shopping for Lily's snow clothes. Even though her snow clothes are not part of her Christmas gifts...she got Christmas today too.

We tried on all her clothes when we got home to see it all put together. Let's just say she is snug and warm as a bug:)


Tonight Lily and I finally decorated her Gingerbread house. Poor child has been asking me all week to do it. We finally did it tonight. She had a blast eating putting all the candy on the house.

The countdown is on. I have 5 days of school left and 7 days till we leave for Colorado!!!

Hallelujah (Light Has Come)

A friend of mine Melissa shared this video on her blog and I absolutely LOVE it!!! When I was listening to it I cried. It really does celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. It is an awesome song...I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I did!!! Thanks Melissa for sharing:)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Well Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!! I haven't been able to get on here in a couple of weeks!!! Well we had a busy busy Christmas. It started on:

Dec 21- with Lily and I going to my parents house in Arlington

Dec 22- We went to the Gaylord Texan Hotel to see the Christmas Ice Exhibit

They give you big blue parka to wear in there because everything is made of ice and its 10below. Well, Lily refused to wear her parka. She did not once complain about being cold!!!

Dec. 23- We went to see Alvin and the Chipmunks and finished up X-mas shopping

Dec. 24 - Christmas at my parents house!!

Lily and Aidan by the Christmas tree before we opened all the presents!!! That night we traveled to Kane's parents house in East Texas. We had a white Christmas Eve and it snowed on Christmas Day. That will probably be the last time in a long time that it snows on Christmas!!!

Dec. 25- Christmas at Kane's parents house...Lily got tons of Elmo stuff from Santa!!!

Dec. 26- We had Christmas dinner at Kane's granny's house. She is not doing to well so she was very happy to see all her grandchildren and great children at her house:)
Dec. 27- Finally we came home after being gone for a week!!! My bed never felt better:):)
Dec. 28- Kane and my parents took me to the Woodlands Surgery Center for my breast reduction!!!

My parents were here till Tuesday and then Kane's sister came down and stayed with us till today. We didn't do much for the new year, we stayed up to watch the ball drop in NYC and then we went to bed!!! I have just been sitting around and relaxing!!! I can't do much till I have to sit down and rest. I so far love love the new size, but don't enjoy the swelling and soreness:( But hey they will look good here shortly!!!

Well today Kane made some pork ribs for the New Year...yum yum!!! We also had mash potatoes and black eye peas!!! We hung out outside for a bit so Lily could ride her new bicycle her Aunt Wendy got her.



Well I hope everyone has a great and blessed New Year!!! I haven't made any new year resolutions yet!!! I will for sure eat healthier and work out more, but everyone says that!!! I do want to be a better mother, wife and friend...so maybe I will stick to those for right now and see what happens:):)

Breakfast with Santa

Our neighborhood that we live in is always doing wonderful things for the kids that live here. During Christmas, they have Breakfast with Santa at the Fire station. Since this is really the first year that Lily is noticing all the Christmas lights, Christmas decorations and that man that sits in the big chair at the mall, we decide to take her to breakfast with Santa, so that way we could avoid the long long line at the mall. When walked in she of course noticed Santa. She automatically started the fingers in the mouth. (that's what she does when she is not sure about the situation) Well, I was very surprised when she shook her head when I asked her if she wanted to sit on his lap. She did, without any tears:) She would not talk to him all she would do is shake her head when he talked to her. She did say "Elmo" when I asked her if she wanted "Elmo" for Christmas!!! Neways, we had a great time and I can't wait till Christmas when she gets to open all the wonderful things Santa is bringing her :P

I hope everyone has a great Christmas!!! I have one more week of school and then I am off for two weeks. During that time I am going to go spend a week with my family, then we are going to Kane's parents house on Christmas Eve. We will be back that Sunday after Christmas to get me ready for my surgery on Monday the 28th. For the ones who don't know I am getting a breast reduction ,which I have wanted for many many years!!! I am super excited about it and very very nervous!!! So please pray for me that I get through the surgery and have a fast recovery:) Well Merry Christmas, Be Safe and God Bless!!!
