Lily's first pet is two goldfish and one crab. They don't have names yet. We are still working on that:) We are trying to get Lily to sleep back in her own bed. She has been doing really well as long as we are sleeping right there next to her. I have slept on the air mattress the past couple of weeks. At the beginning of this week, I decided it was time for her to sleep by herself without me in the room. Kane and I both have to have some sort of noise when we fall asleep at night. Well, since Lily has always slept with us in our room, she now needs some sort of noise to fall asleep. Therefore, we decide to get her a fish tank:) Well, we told Lily if she slept by herself in her room that we would get her some fish. I did not put Lily down for a nap ALL day because I wanted her to be really tired when she went to bed. So, last night when it was time for bed I told her, "If you stay in your bed ALL night we will go get fish tomorrow." She did put up a good fight in the beginning, but eventually she laid down and went to sleep. She only woke up twice throughout the whole night...yay:) The first thing she said to me this morning was "Fish mommy??" Of course I said "Yes, Lily we will get some fish."
So here is her crab. The guy at Walmart said he was male because he has one big pincher leg!!!
Here are a few of pictures of her room.
This is what she will see at night while she sleeps.
Up close of the aquarium. I haven't added the fish yet, because you have to let the pump run for a bit and let the water get to room temperature before adding the fish. Lily picked out the castle and the starfish. Standing back some so you can see her whole dresser!!!
I sure do hope this works. She is really excited about her new fish, so we shall see. If this works then the last thing we need to accomplish this summer is being fully potty trained. She does really well when we are out and about. She loves to visit every restroom of every store we go into:) But when we are at home we forget to tell mommy when we need to go. We do go
number 1 in the potty, but we forget that we need to go number 2 in the potty:) She just turned 2 in March, so I think we are ahead of the game right now!!
